The Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra (WSO), the primary tenant of the MCCC, currently has the most bookings at the Concert Hall, limiting MCCC’s ability to host diverse events. This has led to plans for a new 35,000-sf Music Hall in the District, beside the Arts Plaza on the former Tom Hendry Theatre site. Designed specifically for the WSO, visiting orchestras, and educational programs, the Music Hall will meet high standards for symphonic performance. The new venue supports the Concert Hall’s expanded programming, while the Arts Plaza setting also enables outdoor concerts, enhancing the district’s cultural offerings.
